MALP Announcements

The first MALP conference was held on June 3, 2005 at University of Illinois Institute for Human Development and Disabilities. The event was a huge success, and was attended by 55 people representing universities and mental health agencies from all over the Midwest. 22 new members were recruited. Graduate psychology students comprised a majority of the new members, which was one of our main goals for the conference. Feedback from attendees was generally positive, with some great suggestions for future conferences! MALP would like to thank all of the presenters, planning committee members, and APA’s Office of Ethnic Minority Affairs for making the event possible.
